TRi PLC has released an AI-based chatbot designed to provide faster access to product information and technical support resources. The system uses natural language processing and a structured product knowledge base to interpret user questions and return detailed, context-relevant information.
The chatbot assists engineers and system designers in identifying appropriate PLC models by comparing application needs such as I/O count, supported communication protocols, and control logic requirements. It also provides guidance on controller specifications, including digital and analog I/O options, network interfaces such as RS-485, Modbus RTU/TCP, Ethernet, and MQTT, and other configuration parameters.
Users can access documentation including manuals, firmware updates, and programming references through the interface. The system also supplies step-by-step troubleshooting instructions for installation, configuration, and diagnostics, and offers support for ladder logic programming tools and TRi’s control software.
Responses draw from TRi PLC’s product database and engineering materials to maintain accuracy and consistency. When questions exceed the system’s scope, inquiries are forwarded to TRi’s technical staff for further analysis. The chatbot is available at www.triplc.com.
