Compact PCI Express Mini Card provides simultaneous analog input and output

November 11, 2025 By Aimee Kalnoskas Leave a Comment

ACCES I/O Products, Inc. has released the mPCIe-DAAI16-8F, a multifunction analog input/output module for embedded and OEM systems. The unit fits the PCI Express Mini Card (mPCIe) Type F1 form factor and provides 16-bit precision with simultaneous analog input and output capabilities. It includes eight analog outputs that support both voltage and current operation and eight analog input channels that can be configured as eight single-ended or four differential inputs.

The module’s analog input system supports aggregate sampling rates up to 1 MSPS, while each DAC channel performs hardware-paced waveform playback up to 125 kSPS. It incorporates a FIFO + DMA architecture and features high-retention latching connectors for secure operation in environments subject to vibration or mechanical shock.

Additional functionality includes eight digital I/O pins configurable for input or output, per-channel differential input ranges, flexible A/D triggering options, and an onboard watchdog timer. Factory options provide 4-20 mA and 10-50 mA current inputs, HART modem capability, per-channel voltage dividers, conformal coating, and extended operating temperature from −40 °C to +85 °C. The mPCIe-DAAI16-8F is RoHS compliant and manufactured in the United States.

The device is supported under Linux and Windows operating systems with sample programs and source code provided in C# and Delphi. A VxWorks driver and open-source kernel support are also available for real-time process monitoring and control. Detailed specifications, datasheet, and user manual are available at accesio.com/product/mpcie-daai16-8f.
