A washer system for car cameras
Built-in washers for windshields have long been mandated by federal regulations, and built-in washers for headlights are becoming increasingly common. Now there are washers for car cameras, and we can presume wash systems for radar and Lidar sensors can’t be far behind. Here dlhBOWLES’ Charles Peters demonstrates that company’s camera wash head which uses an oscillating spray said to clean the camera lens in fractions of a second. The spray head technology resembles that of ink jet printer heads. Compared to other nozzle types, says the company, cleaning takes place at least 62% faster using 65% less washer fluid.
