Examining the automotive audio bus
The A2B (in auto parlance, pronounced A-two-B) Analyzer System is designed specifically for automotive work. The claim to fame of A2B is that it is deterministic. This makes it particularly well-suited for automotive audio devices (active speakers, microphones) and newer applications such as active noise cancellation, in-car communications, and so forth. On display was the A2B Analyzer System which consists of the compact hardware device seen here, an accompanying software development kit, and network configuration and simulation tools. The hardware device includes a USB 2.0 interface for PC connections through which come audio data and command/control functions. Next to it was a prototype device called the A2B Bus Monitor. This basically sits on a A2B bus and silently monitors what goes on without interfering with bus operations.
