Professional-Grade PTZ Camera Delivers USB, HDMI, and IP Streaming

February 4, 2016 By Abby Esposito Leave a Comment

clearoneClearOne [NASDAQ: CLRO], has launched the ClearOne UNITE 200 PTZ Camera, a superbly versatile, professional-grade, HD video camera complete with USB, HDMI, and IP connections that can be used for the widest possible range of applications at a price significantly lower than competitive models.

“There is no camera on the market with this feature set for anywhere near this price,” said ClearOne’s Bala Krishnamoorthy, senior director, product line management for UC and Media Collaboration. “In fact, you would have to pay at least twice as much to get close to the same features in other products.”

Krishnamoorthy noted that the camera’s USB (3.0 or 2.0), HDMI, and IP connections can be used simultaneously or individually:

As a USB camera, ClearOne UNITE 200 PTZ can be used for PC-based applications in meeting rooms, such as Cisco Jabber and WebEx, Citrix GoToMeeting, Google Hangouts, Microsoft Skype and Skype for Business, and ClearOne’s Spontania.

As an IP camera, it can be used to broadcast both audio and video signals using high-quality and low-bandwidth H.265 compression for such purposes as distance learning and overflow rooms.
As an HDMI camera, it can be used for pro-AV applications.
UNITE 200 PTZ features full HD 1080p@60fps video resolution to deliver the sharpest possible picture. A wide-angle view allows UNITE 200 PTZ to capture all participants, while the camera’s 12x optical zoom provides close-up imaging.

Demonstrations of ClearOne UNITE 200 PTZ Camera also will be available in booth 7-M200 at Integrated Systems Europe’s ISE 2016 Amsterdam tradeshow being held at the Amsterdam Rai Convention Center in The Netherlands February 9-12, 2016.
