PIC18f87k22 SPI interfacing program – I’m new to PIC18f25K22 programming. I want to know how to write C program for SPI interfacing of two PIC18F25K22. I want to start by using master controller to blink the LEDs of the slave. Read more

How to increase brightness on multiplexed 7 segments -I have a problem with brightness on 7 segment display CC. The problem is when I use a smaller delay in loop (for example, 5ms), the brightness of the displays dramatically reduce. For bigger delay (100ms), brightness is fine but then I got flickering. How can I increase brightness without flickering? Here is schematic. Read more

pH meter conversion – I am making a pH meter. I have built the pH probe interfacing circuit and it is working fine. Now I need some help in ADC voltage to pH conversion.pH range is 0 to 14.

0-2.5633 V
7-2.985 V
14-2.137 V

How do convert these voltages to 0 to 14 values. Also, I need to convert the voltages like this.
2.5633 – 2.985 to 0 to +420mV
2.5633 – 2.137 to 0 to -420 mV.

SPI trouble in MOSI pin – I have a trouble with SPI transmission. I connected an MCU (PIC16F151x) to EEPROM in SPI mode. I used MikroC to coding. As normal, the SPI transmission failed. However, when I connected one probe of the oscilloscope to the MOSI pin (just touched), I received the right data in EEPROM. W Read more

Help with reference point on PIC16f675 ADC – I read the ADC value on corresponding pin but I need to take the first value from the reference as a reference value and store the temperature for 2 sconds. Read more

USB2.0 interfacing with LPC2148 and PC – I’m using the LPC2148 (ARM7) controller. It has USB2.0 built-in support. T USB act as an interface between the controller and my PC. I want to send data from the PC and the controller should able to read it and reply to PC from controller. Just like a chatting in 2-ways. How do I do it? What software supports this task? Read more

Interfacing graphical LCD with PIC18f4550 – I am following this tutorial to interface a GLCD with a PIC18f4550. Everything is ok until it’s said, “As this tutorial is based on PIC18F4550 and PORTB is also used, so please make sure that Analog To Digital Converter is disabled in Configuration Setting of PIC18F4550, otherwise the program will compile without error, but nothing will appear on Graphical LCD.” How can I disable the ADC? PLL in P IC16f1455 does not work – Although I programmed many PIC24 and 32s, I am stuck in PLL configuration of a PIC16F1455. Everything seems correct but the results show that PLL does not work. Here is my configuration:

CONFIG1=0x089C;
CONFIG2=0x1DC3;
OSCCON=0xFC;
ACTEN_BIT =1;
ACTLOCK_BIT=1;

I enabled PLL, set all scales and adjustment bits, but still… Read more

ACS712 – 30A interface with Arduino UNO – Please let me know that I can interface an ACS712-30A with Arduino to measure DC current in mA. I have break light bulb of 2 filaments: one is 18W and the other is 5W. But it cannot measure properly. Read more

for 18W @ 12VDC:
I=P/V = 18/12 = 1.5 A

for 5W @ 12VDC:
I=P/V = 5/12 = 0.416 A

2 UART on a single port – I am currently working on a project where an MCU h only one UART port available. However, I need to run two peripherals with a UART interface (not simultaneously) so I was wondering if I can connect two peripherals UARTs on the same UART of the MCU while playing with enabling and disabling the peripherals one-by-one for communicating with the MCU?
