Controller handles 4K Ultra-HD monitors and display systems

December 13, 2016 By Aimee Kalnoskas Leave a Comment

Digital View today announced an integrated LCD 120Hz controller that reduces parts cost, assembly time, and space requirement in the manufacture of commercial and industrial 4K Ultra-HD monitors and display systems.  Using one component part instead of three separate parts, the advanced LCD controller is ideal for the production of commercial monitors, digital signage and corporate video displays.

This new controller model was designed for 4K Ultra-HD LCD panels, and supports both 8 and 16 lane V-by-One connectivity channels (60Hz and 120Hz connections.) The high resolution, multi-purpose SVX-4096-120 also supports motion smoothing and image flip together with an extensive command set over Ethernet and RS-232.

“This new controller reduces overall cost and assembly time with fewer parts, fewer connectors and fewer cables. As with all Digital View developments, we offer new innovations for monitor manufacturers,” said James Henry, CEO of Digital View.  Reducing controller complexity and SKUs, the SVX-4096-120 is an advanced LCD controller supporting LCD and OLED panels up to 4096 x 2160 resolution at 120Hz.

The controller has HDMI 2.0/1.4, Displayport 1.2 and DVI Dual Link inputs with board mounted industry standard input connectors for easy enclosure design. The very extensive feature set ensures suitability for many display applications. The SVX-4096-120 is supported by a wide selection of panel connection cables and other accessories together with system development documentation, including 3D drawings.
