Serial NOR and low-density NAND devices from GigaDevice

October 26, 2018 By Aimee Kalnoskas Leave a Comment

GigaDevice’s large range of Serial NOR and low-density NAND products with competitive lead times and pricing is available for immediate shipment globally through Digi-Key Electronics, a global electronic components distributor, as the result of a recent distribution agreement.

The GigaDevice product portfolio features a wide variety of NOR Flash densities at 512Kb to 512Mb, with higher densities of 1Gb and 2Gb coming soon, in a variety of packages including the smallest USON package for densities up to 8-Mbit (1.5 x 1.5 mm). NAND products, including SLC and OnFi NANDs with densities of 1Gb, 2Gb and 1Gb respectively. GigaDevice will be offering 4 and 8Gb SLC NANDs in the first half of 2019.

Flash memory is typically used to store bootcode and BIOS info next to a controller or processer in a system. GigaDevice’s products does also support AEC-Q100 for targeted automotive applications.

“With GigaDevice’s market presence and their commitment to an even wider product portfolio, that includes newer security and ECC features, we are excited to partner with GigaDevice and offer their wide range of high-performance Flash memory products to our global customer base,” said David Stein, VP, Global Supplier Management at Digi-Key.
