The brightly colored insides of the Freescale’s Internet of Tomorrow tour bus offered attendees a bright look — and feel — of IoT products such as wearables, next-generation networking gear, and telepresence robots through demonstrations and hands-on interaction. This was the first stop in a 20,000 mile tour to companies, universities, and meetups. You can find out more about the “tour de IoT” and how to bring the bus to your business at iot.freescale.com.
Freescale also showcased their Kinetis MCUs which leverages ARM’s recently announced Cortex-M7 for performance improvement and application specific roles in motor control and power conversion, IoT, and connectivity applications.
Honestly, I don’t really know much about ARM and its mbed OS. But based on what you mentioned that it is designed to reduce energy consumption (low power energy), I feel that this surely is something that would benefit the IT industry and business in general. Not only would companies be able to save on energy costs, they also would be able to maximize the features of this operating system. I will be reading more about ARM and mbed OS for additional learning. Thanks.
