Welcome to the Rigado R41Z
The seminar makes heavy use of a demo board built by Rigado in Salem, Ore. The R41Z eval board contains an NXP KW41Z ultra-low-power chip that enables Thread with IEEE 802.15.4 and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). The chip integrates an ARM Cortex-M0+ CPU, a 2.4-GHz transceiver, and an antenna. The multi-mode operation that the chip provides lets class participants create a mesh network in one of the exercises for local and remote control/monitoring and direct communication using Bluetooth Low Energy via a smartphone app.
