Side-actuated switch designed for space-constrained applications in consumer electronics

May 13, 2025 By Redding Traiger Leave a Comment

Littelfuse, Inc. announces the C&K Switches PTS845 Series Side-Actuated Tactile Switch with extended durability. The PTS845 Series features dimensions of 4.5 x 3.4 x 3.3 mm and provides operating forces of 80, 160, and 260 gf. The switch incorporates a bracket peg design for PCB mounting stability and offers a lifespan rated for 1,000,000 cycles.

The compact design of the PTS845 Series allows engineers to optimize PCB space utilization in space-constrained applications. The switch comes with multiple force level options and various actuator colors for visual differentiation in assembly and user interface design. These specifications make the switch suitable for applications in telecom equipment such as mobile radios, consumer electronics, including dash cameras and gaming peripherals, and home automation devices.

The PTS845 Series enables designers to create efficient designs while maintaining durability. With its cycle rating of 1,000,000 actuations, the switch serves as a solution for consumer electronics, telecom devices, and home automation products where repeated use is expected.

The PTS845 Tactile Switches are available in tape and reel format in quantities of 1,400. Sample requests can be made through authorized Littelfuse distributors worldwide.
