Automotive TCAM integrates enhanced functional safety features

February 27, 2026 By Puja Mitra Leave a Comment

The configurable 3nm FinFET TCAM from Renesas Electronics Corporation integrates hard and soft macro architectures to support flexible key widths from 8 to 64 bits and scalable configurations up to 256-bit × 4,096 entries. Designed for automotive and high-speed networking applications, the memory achieves 5.27 Mb/mm² density, 0.167 fJ/bit search energy in a 256-bit × 512-entry configuration and up to 1.7 GHz search clock speed using pipelined search with all-mismatch detection. Functional safety features including split data buses and dedicated SRAM for ECC parity support ISO 26262-aligned designs in automotive and industrial systems.
