IoT platforms span 6 to 50 TOPS for robotics, drones, industrial AI

March 17, 2026 By Puja Mitra Leave a Comment

The Genio Pro, Genio 420 and Genio 360 IoT platforms from MediaTek are edge AI and embedded processors designed for IoT, robotics and machine vision systems. Built on a 3 nm process, Genio Pro integrates Arm Cortex-X925, Cortex-X4 and Cortex-A720 cores with an 8th generation NPU delivering over 50 TOPS, supports up to 16 cameras, three 4K displays and LPDDR5x memory up to 8533 Mbps, while Genio 420 and Genio 360 series provide 6 to 7.2 TOPS for cost-optimized and value-tier edge AI deployments. Target applications include autonomous robotics, drones, smart retail and industrial IoT devices, where support for Linux distributions, ROS 2 framework, multi-camera input and high-speed I/O enables scalable edge AI processing and system integration across performance tiers.
