Embedded project needs devices to work continuously +125 degree C – Embedded project needs devices which can work continuously at +125 degree C. I am planning to use these devices other that other passive devices like capacitors, resistors.

1N4007 Vishay make
PIC18LF46K22 – Microchip
LM1086-3.3
LM1086-ADJ
ADG726
MAX31855KASA
LEDs
P65SMT101 switch
7 Segment display Common Cathode Red (2 digits, make not yet decided)
ESP8266-12E
8x K type thermocouples probes with 1.75 mtr max probe length
Xbee or LoRa

The device needs to send 8x thermocouple data once a while (timer settings based on BCD switches, one for minutes and another for seconds) to a PC for logging through LoRa. I want to know if the above devices can work continuously at +125 degree C. Read more

Multiple external data flash connected to MCU – In the image attached the Green block is an ATMEGA644 and the blue is an AT45DB081 flash. They are connected using the ISP of the MCU. How can I connect a second identical flash to the ISP (and possibly other devices) and being able to select each of them with the use of a jumper switch? Read more

Burden resistor of calculation – I am building an application for motor protection Relay. I am using Arduino board for an interface. I am new to the concept of understanding CT calculation. I didn’t calculation involved in burden resistor and burden VA. I have attached an image of CT which planning to use for application & similarly application circuit used for this application. How is Burden VA is calculated? Read more

Memory technologies associated with optical interconnects – I want to know what is an optical interconnect in terms of the memory technologies. Also, if anybody could help me with these terms in computer architecture – Optical RAM cell and Optical Cache memory. Read more

CLT1310079B and PIC16F1947 the same MCU? – I was hoping anyone could verify this to me. I’m currently studying a circuit board right now, and the chip it uses is CLT1310079B. I tried to look for its datasheet but google always shows me PIC16F1947 datasheet. Read more

8051 microcontroller, LCD, and 4-decimal digit increment – In Keil, 89s52 microcontroller,
I want to 4 digit show 16*2 LCD, I want to increment 0000 to 1000. What can I do? Read more

AVR: SPI using interrupt – I’m completely new SPI protocol. I wrote my first code today. It was using a polling method from these two tutorials. The first link also has an interrupt based code. But it’s not working.  Can anyone suggest me how to properly code this? I don’t have two Arduino, so I’m using Proteus to simulate code for ATMega168. Read more

PIC controller hanging in circuit – (Please refer to below image file) PORTC and PORTD are connected with 7 SEGMENT(CC) display through a 470R resistor and another two pins are used to drive a TRIAC (These not shown in the schematic). My concept is when the switch S5 and S6 is turned ON means the LED have to glow and the low state is given pic controller. But both LEDs are always in ON state, without operating the switch. Read more

I2C sensor connection on an analog port – Is there any problem to connect dht11 humidity sensor on analog port, however it uses I2C. Read more

Choosing backplane bus transceiver – Our team has developed several controller boards for our current Projects for over three years. With little modifications, we have used this board in several projects so far. Its structure is as follows. Read more

CURRENT DIGITAL ISSUE

A frequency you can count on There are few constants in life, but what few there are might include death, taxes, and a U.S. grid frequency that doesn’t vary by more than ±0.5 Hz. However, the certainty of the grid frequency is coming into question, thanks to the rising percentage of renewable energy sources that…
